SIMOD - An ODP-extended Role-Modeling Methodology for Distributed
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper introduces an object-oriented methodology for distributed objects, SIMOD Systems Interoperability Methodology for Distributed Objects, based on the OOram role modeling methodology extended with an architecturedriven approach based on distributed objects and the ISO RM ODP viewpoints. OOram is an object-oriented analysis and design methodology suited for the development of distributed object systems, such as systems based on OMG CORBA or COM/OLE, because of its focus on role modeling, and separation of interface description

An integrated distributed processing approach for e-commerce system design and development
This paper proposes an integrated approach for e-commerce business modeling and system design, based on the Reference Model of the Open Distributed Processing (RM/ODP) standard. Initially, the main concerns of e-commerce with respect to business modeling are presented; next, the requirements induced by this modeling and the generic e-commerce system interfaces are discussed. Then, the adoption ...
متن کاملUML-based methodology for distributed systems
This paper describes a methodology based on the ISO Reference Model for Open Distributed Processing (ISO RM ODP)[1-4] and the UML 1.1[5] notation. The methodology has been developed in the context of several projects concerned with methodology development: DISGIS[6], MAGMA[7] and OBOE[8]. ODP provides the overall framework and a foundation for describing distributed systems. UML provides a flex...
متن کاملSISIP - A Systems Integration Platform based on Distributed Persistent Objects
Integrated environments in general may support the four integration areas: data-integration, control-integration, presentation-integration and process-integration. The SISIP architecture takes a unified object-oriented approach to these four integration areas. The underlying infrastructure is based on distributed persistent objects, realized by a combination of objectoriented database technolog...
متن کاملModeling the ODP Computational Viewpoint with UML 2.0: The Templeman Library Example
The advent of UML 2.0 has provided a new set of concepts more apt for modeling the structure and behavior of distributed systems. These concepts and mechanisms can be effectively used for representing the ODP concepts, in particular those from the Computational Viewpoint. In this paper we present an example that uses the UML 2.0 profile for the ODP computational viewpoint to illustrate its bene...
متن کاملModeling ODP Computational Specifications Using UML
The open distributed processing (ODP) computational viewpoint describes the functionality of a system and its environment in terms of a configuration of objects interacting at interfaces, independently of their distribution. Quality of service (QoS) contracts and service level agreements are an integral part of any computational specification, which are specified in ODP in terms of environment ...
